Feb 26, 2008 Pira Lodge, Iberia March, Argentina - Golden Dorado Fishing

Left hotel at 8:45am. Took 15min to get to the Buenos Aires Domestic Airport located in town.

Took flight from there to Goya, because of rain could land at landing strip at lodge, so landed about 2.5hrs away. Took 1.2 paved, 1/2 dirt roads. Lost control of truck, Toyota Highlander.

Arrived at lodge at 2:30pm, had lunch (beef) and then headed out at 5pm for Golden Dorado fishing Corientes River which feeds out of the Iberia Marsh. The Marsh feeds the river.

Tom fished with Nicalous, Ryan and I fished with Felipe Morsales.

Fishing until 9pm. Ate dinner at 10:3pm, baked chicken and sweet potatos.

Fish are smaller then normal, marsh not the lowest, but low. Largest fishing of the season this far has been 9lbs. Need smaller flies, any fly will really work. Fished form the bank with Filpe Morsals, whose family owns Buenos Aires fly shop, and his dad is a famous fly angler.

Went to bed.
